Air Fryer Pizza Rolls – Less Bread, More Filling in Each Bite!

My kids are huge fans of pizza rolls. In fact, pizza in any form is pretty much a guaranteed win. Except for pizza flavored things, those are just….weird. They do have issues with the breading on the pizza rolls. Why a kid pulls off the breading from a pizza roll is beyond me, but these air fryer pizza rolls are made to have the perfect amount of breading and delicious filling in each bite!

If you are looking for an air fryer for Christmas, by the way, this one is my favorite air fryer!

I had my doubts if these pizza rolls would hold up, but they did quite well and they were delicious!

You can use air fryer parchment paper, but there was little cleanup after I cooked these. 

I used refrigerated pizza dough, but you could use crescent roll dough, too, for a flakier crust. I also used pizza sauce, pepperonis, olives, and mozzarella cheese, but anything is doable! Add some sausage, bacon, cooked hamburger meat, canadian bacon, jalapeños, etc! Anything goes!

Roll out the dough, add the toppings, and carefully roll it all up!

Then just slice the huge pizza roll with a pizza cutter.

Cook Time: 10 minutes
Additional Time: 2 minutes
Total Time: 22 minutes

These air fryer pizza rolls are easy to make and have less bread and more filling than traditional pizza rolls!

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 18-24 pepperonis
  • sliced olives

Instructions

  1. Roll out pizza dough on a cutting board.
  2. Spread pizza sauce on top of dough.
  3. Sprinkle cheese on top of sauce.
  4. Spread out pepperonis on top of the cheese.
  5. Spread olives on top.
  6. Carefully roll, starting with the longest side, as tightly as possible.
  7. Use a pizza cutter to cut 12 pizza rolls.
  8. Carefully place pizza rolls into air fryer, flat dough side down.
  9. Cook for 7 minutes at 325 and check for doneness.
  10. Continue to cook until golden brown, checking every 1-2 minutes.
  11. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping, if desired!
