Yesterday was a huge day for America. Everyone has heard the news about the current president winning the election for four more years, but were you aware that Proposition 37 in California – to label Genetically Engineered Foods (GMOs) – did not pass? Maybe it's because I live in Texas and didn't see all the negative ads being thrown to Californians by companies who don't want the truth about their food products out there, but I was under the impression that Prop 37 would pass. I was under the impression that Californians wanted to know what was in their food, but apparently, not enough were, or maybe not enough were educated about the proposition. But, the "Nos" (53.1%) didn't outweigh the "Yes" votes (46.9%) by many, and to me, this is great news. The proposition may have not passed, but the movement that this has started is no where over. Think of all the people all across the country who have been educated about GMOs, just because some Californians demanded the right to know. Thank you for stepping up and doing what's right for our food, our kids, and our future. Thank you! Let's keep going!!! Read and share the Right To Know election statement and please, just educate yourself on the risk of GMOs in our foods!
