Apparently, letting the bluebonnets grow a bit and finding a better spot when the sun is going down is a good idea for a better bluebonnet picture!! This one is much better than our bluebonnet fail pic, even if they do both look very mischievous!
This past weekend, we went out to the spot we took bluebonnet pictures last year. This trip turned out to be a major fail, but good thing it was only 5 mins away. Last year the bluebonnets were lush and thick and this year……they are splotchy. The sun was in the boys' eyes so I just gave up. Getting two kids to look and smile in the direction of the camera is hard enough, but the sun is just too much for me to compete with. This is the best picture that came from this trip:
I love when the bluebonnets bloom. It's one of the most beautiful sights…to drive and see the bluebonnets covering the sides of the roads! We missed the bluebonnets last year, so this is Baby D's first time. He wasn't too impressed. The sun was hot, the flowers tickled his feet, he didn't want to sit in the Bumbo…who knows. But, we did manage to get a few cute shots.
And for a little blast from the past…here are pics of the Captain and the bluebonnets from two years ago, when he was a little older than Baby D is now, and three years ago, when he was just six months old!
