Our new house is lovely. It is perfect for our little family of four. The backyard is fantastic for Captain Fussybuckets…there is a game room/converted garage for the youth group, quiet neighborhood (except for the bass at 2 AM on Sunday morning…), but there is one, teensy little problem.
Remember this post from June? No? Well, the birds have seemingly moved away from the trees outside of our window for their morning songfests. We do hear them occasionally, but that’s better than every.stinkin’.morning at 6 AM!
Are you ready to hear how we did it?
Meet Hootie and Owly:
These are the birds that protect our sleep from the other birds that like to sing in the morning! Owly and Hootie do NOT like singing birds and are standing tall to prevent them from singing in the morning. Way to go, guys!!!!!
A special thanks goes out to Grampy and Daddy Fussybuckets. Thanks, Grampy, for loaning us Hootie, and thanks to Daddy for a great idea!!!!
CROWS! Loud, obnoxious crows….along with other birds. They love to tweet, peck, chirp, and make other annoying noises in the tree right outside of our window. And of course, they're birds, so they wake up way too early to begin their morning noise making rituals.
I'm trying to research online what to do about this. I'm not pro killing things, so that's out. We're not going to chop down the tree. We have an air purifier going that is pretty loud, but I just don't know what else to do! There are curtains and window sticky things that supposedly block out the noise, but I don't know that I want to dish out the money if they're not going to work…
Does anyone have any brilliant ideas?????
