As the summer heat keeps going up, I want to turn my oven and stove on a lot less. Who wants to cook when it is 90 degrees outside? We still prefer home cooked foods on most days, so I rely on my Instant Pot often. When I need to make a quick meal, I might pick up a rotisserie chicken at the grocery store, along with makings for a fresh salad, delicious peaches for dessert, and this Instant Pot Macaroni and Cheese as a side dish. This recipe is creamy and delicious because of a secret ingredient!
Have you ever tried using mayonnaise for recipes other than just on a sandwich? Blue Plate mayonnaise makes recipes delicious! I have heard of dessert recipes being made with mayo and while I haven’t tried it, people swear by this secret ingredient to make cakes super moist!
To make my Instant Pot Macaroni and Cheese, first you have to cook the noodles. That’s really the only cooking part, and you do not put mayonnaise in the IP to cook, just in case you wondered! You will mix that and the cheese in later!
To cook macaroni in the Instant Pot, simply combine water, dry macaroni, butter, and salt in the pressure cooker and cook. Then, you will add the other ingredients and serve! Super easy!
