The Captain is just now able (and willing) to sit still for a book and he LOVES being read to. His current favorite books are "Corduroy," "Why Do Feet Smell," "Jack and the Beanstalk," and the stories from his children's Bible. He's also very excited because he is learning to read on his own. We are excited, too! What a great gift to give someone – the gift of READING! Today, March 6, 2013, is World Read Aloud Day. To celebrate, we are reading books, just as we do everyday. But today, we are reading those books for the 793 million people who cannot read. Last year we participated along with hundreds of thousands of participants in 65 different countries! Register for World Read Aloud Day on the LitWorld website.
Reading is FUN!

We've read several books today! Unfortunately now she doesn't want to go play with toys and wants me to keep reading all day long. My voice needs a rest! Her favorites today have been a Shushybye book and A Quest for Manners.
