Calm The Dinnertime Chaos And Get The Conversations Started

Dinnertime is something that we hold sacred in our house.  That means that sometimes we are sitting down to eat dinner at 4:30 PM, but if that's what it takes, then we make it happen.  It is the one time of the day that all of us can get together and talk about our day, what needs to get done, and fun events in the week ahead.

Making family dinnertime a priority and routine definitely makes it easier, but sometimes I do get frustrated with different things.  Kids that won't eat, want to be silly and make potty jokes, and occasionally, the child who won't say anything.  "How was your day?" ........nothing....  "Take a bite of your food, please."  ....nothing...  I get it, we all have bad days, but sometimes we just need a little bit of help making meaningful conversations.

Igniting spontaneous and unexpected family conversation is a lot easier on parents now, with fun illustrated prints featuring clever conversation starters on Mardi Gras napkins. "Wipe away" the boredom and bring family fun back to the dinner table.  These napkins do their job of wiping faces and hands, but beyond that, each napkin has a fun conversation starter.  Kids can read their napkin to start a fun family conversation, or answer questions and prompts from other's napkins.  There is so much fun and conversation to be had!

The boys love the fun prompts that challenge them to think about their day.  I think that their favorite conversation napkin is "make up a rap about your day." This can get quite silly, but if everyone takes a turn and also listens to others respectfully, then it's a hilarious way to loosen up and have fun.

Mardi Gras Conversation Starter napkins are available in 200, 250, 500, and 700 count packs with a variety of conversation starter prints in each pack.  They will fit in nicely with your shopping budget, too, at about about a penny per napkin!
