How To Make An Easy Travel Potty Training Kit With Pure Ingredients
We are smack dab in the middle of potty training Baby Brother. He is stubborn. He is laidback. He is two. He is also much more difficult to potty train than his older brothers! We have learned to always have spare clothes and underwear on hand, as well as wipes…lots and lots of wipes.
I have been concerned about the chemicals in baby wipes for a long time. I was so excited when WaterWipes came to the US last year, as these wipes are chemical free and pure and safe for everyone. On a recent trip to Target, I was happy to see WaterWipes in the baby aisle! They come in a single, 60 count pack, or a multi pack with four packages of 60 wipes.
I wanted to make a travel potty training kit because I am just tired of searching for things in the van. The wipes slide under the seat, the clothes get thrown about, and I never know where anything is. My mother-in-law gave me a new fitted sheet for my birthday and I held on to the cute little bag that it came in, but I wasn't sure what I would ever use it for. When preparing my kit, I knew that this little bag would be perfect!
Baby Brother and I set to work on making the bag a little cuter with some fabric paint and sponges cut in both a star shape and a rectangle shape. I let him dip the sponge stars in paint and press onto the flap on the bag and then we made a fun design on the bottom, as well.
I grabbed a couple of packages of WaterWipes, two pairs of toddler underwear, and one extra outfit for Baby Brother. I put the extra clothes in a zipper plastic bag to keep them dry and
I put the kit in the car and wouldn't you know…we needed it that very night. We were out too long at an ice cream social for the town and Baby Brother was just having too much fun to tell us he needed to poop. It happens! I'm so glad we were prepared!!
WaterWipes will continue to be a constant in our house and car because they're gentle, pure, and clean up more than just diaper messes. They contain only two ingredients: 99.9% pure Irish water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract. They clean up SO well…I promise you won't miss the chemicals.
We love being able to grab a wipe and hand it to any of the boys in the car to clean up life's messes. Sticky hands, snotty noses, or whatever else they get into…. these wipes are safe to use and I like knowing that there are no remaining chemicals on the boys' hands. And we all know how much kids put their hands in their mouths.
