Back To School Funnies

I taught kindergarten for three years before having kids and becoming a stay-at-home mom, then a houseparent at a children’s home, then a stay-at-home mom again.  School was always filled with mixed emotions.  The first day of school was exciting, scary, exhausting and inspiring all at the same time.  The end of the year was full of relief, stress, and bittersweet sadness!  All day today I’ve seen my friends post pictures of their kids going back to school and I’ll admit, I’m a bit emotional!  It’s so sweet to see all of these kids growing up and being so excited about school.  I’m also a teensy bit jealous of those teachers who are starting a brand new year with a class full of kids!  But, I enjoy being a stay-at-home mom to teach my little boys.  Seeing them learn and grow each day is a joy in itself.  So….on this day of mixed emotions for many, I’ve found some back to school humor and cartoons to hopefully give you a little chuckle if you’re missing your little one today or if you’re a teacher and had a long, exhausting day!  I salute all of you – teachers, students, staff, AND parents!
